Heather Winkel is an art director, publication designer and content creator.


She collaborates with editorial and marketing teams to produce high-caliber visuals and design solutions for publications and brands. From conceptualization to development to execution, Heather's passionate about crafting smart, compelling design. Her creative vision, attention to detail and energy come through in every project she’s instrumental in bringing to life.


Heather's commitment to excellence has resulted in wide industry acclaim for her publication work including awards from Folio and Association Media and Publishing. She was named one of Folio Magazine’s Rising Stars: Ten Under 30 in 2010. Heather holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore.


When not generating ideas, art directing photo shoots or launching magazines, she can be found traveling near and far, planning parties and exploring with her toddler.

Heather collaborates with editors and photographers to create custom content and visuals for publications, blogs and brands. Previously, she co-founded maché magazine, an online food and entertaining publication. Heather's areas of expertise include travel, parenting, paper goods, lifestyle DIY and entertaining.
